Key Responsibilities
1. Initiating, planning and conducting research.
2. Participating in development and preparation of Departmental and Faculty development plans.
2. Articulating the mission and vision of the University and the department.
2. Supervising postgraduate students in research activities.
2. Teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and post graduate students.
3. Development of teaching and learning materials.
3. Organizing and supervising educational activities for undergraduate students.
4. May be assigned or delegated other duties and responsibilities by the Dean of School or COD as deemed necessary.

5.Responsible to the chairperson of department, a Lecturer/lecturer shall have the following specific responsibilities:
6. Carry out administrative and other duties & responsibilities as may be assigned
7. Attending and participating in seminars, workshops, conferences etc. in relevant fields.
8. Participating in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of curricular in the department.
9. Participating in the departmental meetings and other activities for effective and efficient management of the Department and Faculty.
Requirements
ACADEMIC
Be registered with Law Society of Kenya and with a valid practicing license
With at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level.
KCSE Certificate or equivalent
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity
Master’s Degree in law (LL.M.) from an accredited and recognized University
Ph.D. in law or closely related field from a recognized academic institution
