Articulating the mission and vision of the University and the department.
Attending and participating in seminars, workshops, conferences etc. in relevant fields.
Initiating, planning and conducting research.
May be assigned or delegated other duties and responsibilities by the Dean of School or COD as deemed necessary.
Supervising postgraduate students in research activities.
Teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and post graduate students.
Carry out administrative and other duties & responsibilities as may be assigned
Development of teaching and learning materials.
Organizing and supervising educational activities for undergraduate students.
Participating in development and preparation of Departmental and Faculty development plans.
Participating in the departmental meetings and other activities for effective and efficient management of the Department and Faculty.
Responsible to the chairperson of department, a Lecturer/lecturer shall have the following specific responsibilities:
Requirements
ACADEMIC
Must be a holder of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
KCSE Certificate or equivalent
Must be a holder of Master of Medicine in ENT
EXPERIENCE
Teaching experience in a medical school will be an added advantage.
MEMBERSHIP
The holder must be duly registered by KMPDC (Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council) or the equivalent in the EAC countries and hold a retention certificate of the KMPDC.
