Key Responsibilities
Articulating the mission and vision of the University and the department.
Attending and participating in seminars, workshops, conferences etc. in relevant fields.
Initiating, planning and conducting research.
May be assigned or delegated other duties and responsibilities by the Dean of School or COD as deemed necessary.
Supervising postgraduate students in research activities.
Teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and post graduate students.
Carry out administrative and other duties & responsibilities as may be assigned
Development of teaching and learning materials.
Organizing and supervising educational activities for undergraduate students.
Participating in development and preparation of Departmental and Faculty development plans.
Participating in the departmental meetings and other activities for effective and efficient management of the Department and Faculty.
Responsible to the chairperson of department, a Lecturer/lecturer shall have the following specific responsibilities:
Requirements
ACADEMIC
Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution
KCSE Certificate or equivalent
Masters of Clinical Medicine and Surgery Reproductive Health
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years teaching experience at university level or in research or industry
MEDICAL LICENSE
Hold a current practicing license of the Clinical officer’s council
PROFESSIONAL
Duly registered by Clinical officer’s council (COC) or the equivalent in EAC countries
