ii. Maintain records of all security-related occurrences.
iii. Assist in the preparation and compilation of security reports.
iv. Support general investigation activities as required.
ix. Ensure the safety and security of visitors within the University.
v. Oversee fire safety equipment and coordinate fire drills.
vi. Assist in ensuring student security by monitoring and addressing student complaints and concerns.
vii. Prevent, detect, and report any theft or loss of University property.
viii. Monitor vehicle movement and support the Transport Officer in matters of vehicle security, including parking, accident reporting, and inspections.
x. Collect intelligence reports and conduct general surveillance activities.
xi. Prepare and submit security reports as required.
xii. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
ACADEMIC
Bachelor’s Degree in Security Studies, Criminology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
ETHICS
Certificate of Good Conduct
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
EXPERIENCE
At least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Security Assistant I or in a comparable position within a reputable organization.
